About Us
The Children's Specialty Care Coalition is a nonprofit association representing more than 1,000 pediatric specialists in California. We are dedicated to ensuring children with special health care needs have access to necessary high-quality medical care through strong leadership, education and advocacy.
The Coalition was formed in 1999 to address the growing crisis in availability of quality pediatric subspecialist care for sick children in California. Based in Sacramento, the Coalition has worked to strengthen the California Children's Services (CCS) program. The Coalition's foremost goal is to advocate on behalf of critically and chronically ill children and their families to ensure every child has access to the life-saving and life-enhancing health care they need and deserve.
